The chamfering machine body is composed of a cutting device (power head), an adjustable spring type limit mechanism, a clamping and positioning mechanism, a floating support mechanism and a buffer mechanism, as shown in Figure 2. All mechanism actions are automatically completed by hydraulic system and PLC control system.

(1) Cutting device (power head)

The cutting device is divided into rotary mechanism and mobiles mechanism. The cutter and blade are installed on the rotary mechanism to realize the chamfering of the bar; The rotary mechanism of the mobiles mechanism completes the whole chamfering process of fast forward, work forward and fast backward, and the mobiles mechanism moves on the special guide rail, which ensures the accuracy of the centerline of the rotary mechanism in the moving process.

(2) Adjustable spring type limit mechanism

One working cycle of the chamfering machine body is divided into three stages: fast forward, work forward and fast backward. The completion of each stage is controlled and switched by the adjustable spring type limit mechanism set on the power head. The adjustable spring type limit mechanism is installed on the transmission mechanism of the cutting device, moves with the transmission mechanism, and the pressure is adjustable, and the chamfering feed is adjustable. The adjustable spring type limit mechanism can meet the same size of the chamfer of bars of the same specification, and can enable smooth and reliable switching between the fast forward, work forward and fast backward of the chamfering machine

(3) Clamping and positioning mechanism

The clamping and positioning mechanism can meet the requirement that the end of the bar is placed at the front end during the operation of the chamfering machine, which is composed of the upper clamping block and the lower clamping block. The upper clamping block is of the up and down sliding type, which is controlled by the hydraulic system. The lower clamping block can be replaced according to the different specifications of the bar, and the structure is the automatic positioning and quick change mode, which is convenient for operation.
